As I'm starting to dare to hack sup's code I could like to try to
implement this hook myself – but how do you call the
"--- Begin/End forwarded message ---" line in English?

forward-attribution or so?

Yours, Ruthard

The attribution hook can be used to change the sup standard reply line.
Is there any similar mechanism to change the same line of forwarded
mail?

Yours,

Ruthard
