Hi,

I've just started working with sup and am stuck with a gpg problem.

I'm getting gpg messages that aren't being decoded automatically. They
show up as attachments to a message, and the message body shows as
empty. If I go down to the attachment itself and hit enter I see down
below it saying, "Viewing multipart/encrypted attachment..." and then it
says, "Couldn't execute view command, viewing as text." I dont know what
view command it attempted to execute, but then I see the following in
the body:

--mimepart_4a195eca478b1_5b73..fdbe593a824f3
Content-Type: application/pgp-encrypted
Content-Disposition: attachment

Version: 1

--mimepart_4a195eca478b1_5b73..fdbe593a824f3
Content-Type: application/octet-stream; charset=UTF-8
Content-Disposition: inline; filename=message.asc

-----BEGIN PGP MESSAGE-----
Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux)

...

-----END PGP MESSAGE-----

--mimepart_4a195eca478b1_5b73..fdbe593a824f3--

What do I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks!
Micah

In the early part of Sup's log, does it mention being able to find the
gpg binary? (When in Sup, hit b until you see the log-mode buffer and
then scroll to the top.)

Indeed I do:

[Fri May 29 00:17:42 -0400 2009] crypto: detected gpg binary in /usr/bin/gpg

Any other obvious messages in the log about multipart/encrypted?

Assuming not, can you forward the email to me? I won't be able to
decrypt it, presumably, but maybe I can figure out what's going on. The
mime structure you've supplied looks fine, and Sup's gpg support is
good, so I'm curious why it's not working for you.

(Feel free to munge the headers and bodies if you desire, just don't
change the mime stuff.)

I failed to respond to this message, partly because I think I decided to
give up on sup at the time. But I am back now, because sup is so
alluring, and I'm trying harder to switch this time :)

This time, gpg works fine... although it is using the wrong gpg keyid
when I try to send. I did manage to find and set the gpgkey configurable
in the .sup/config.yaml:

:accounts:
  :default:
    :signature: /home/micah/.signature
    :email: micah@riseup.net
    :sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail -oem -ti
    :name: micah anderson
    :gpgkey: 0xDEADBEEF

but still, that key does not get used, and instead the first key in my
keyring for my email@address gets used instead. I do not want that,
because that key is set to expire in about a week.
