That may have been it. I just clobbered my whole setup and started
over, now it's working Although now I'm using the gem and not the git
next branch. I don't want to loose my 8K+ message index again.
was my install process wrong for switching to the git -next branch?

ps: i'll consider switching fully to sup as soon as I figure out how to manage
multiple email accounts :)
