Hi all,
Thanks for the excellent sup!
I'm french, and so I have utf-8 issues... I'm trying to follow the first method
of the wiki (that is, using the sources obtained from Git):
http://sup.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl?UTF8
libncurses5-dev and libncursesw5-dev are installed. Changing to the ncursesw
branch, applying the patch and returnin to the next branch works.
However, when I run sup with : "ruby -Ilib bin/sup", I get the error message:
/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/sup/poll.rb:31: undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass
(NoMethodError)
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `require'
from ./lib/sup.rb:374
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `require'
from bin/sup:22
Because I'm not familiar with ruby, I don't understand what is not working... Is
the rubygems version to old? I'm on ubuntu 10.04
The command "apt-cache policy rubygems" give:
rubygems:
Installé : 1.3.5-1ubuntu2
Candidat : 1.3.5-1ubuntu2
Table de version :
*** 1.3.5-1ubuntu2 0
500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Or is another package missing?
Thanks for any help !
Best,
David
