I _think_ you'd need to do a sup-sync-back with a sup that supports
IMAP still after removing the mail from the IMAP source.  When the
index is in such a state where no messages reference the source id for
the imap source, you should then be able to yank.

I've never need to do anything like this though, so hopefully others
will chime in with advice.
