I couldn't figure out how to recover the index and had to start over from scratch. Foolishly I deleted everything, so I've been waiting to see if it happened again before talking to the Ferret folks. But if it's happening to you too, I guess I will take this up with the Ferret folks. The backtrace may be enough. If the index had email you'd be comfortable sharing, you can send me your ~/.sup/ferret directory. For the immediate future, I don't know if there's anything to do besides deleting ~/.sup/ferret and running sup-sync --all-sources --all, and losing whatever message state was in your index. :( -- William
