Are you going to support user-defined "states"? I have quite a few
labels that would make much more sense on the message than on the thread
(e.g. todo-{low,normal,high}).

I sometimes "reply" to messages without setting a recipient in order to
record private notes. It would be nice if this capability was either
preserved (i.e. don't choke if there's no recipient) or maybe even
explicit support for non-mail objects (notes, attached files, reminder
dates, etc.) added.

Hmm, that has a chance of conflicting with user-defined message states...
